I absolutely LOVE Amazon.com. I can usually find what I am looking for at a better price than other places online and with Amazon Prime, it’s shipped to me for free in 2 days. I’m an instant gratification kind of gal.
Amazon Prime is a membership based shipping benefit. It does cost $79 per year BUT here’s the good news. You can SHARE your membership with 4 of your closest friends or family members making the cost significantly less at $15.80 each! You can find more information on Amazon Prime here.
Normally when you use Free Super Saver Shipping without an Amazon Prime account, you have to have a total purchase of $25 or more to get free shipping. With Prime, there are no minimums. You can purchase that $3.xx clearance item and have it shipped free or pay just $3.99 to have it sent overnight.
If you are a bargain hunter like me, you will benefit greatly by finding deals on Amazon throughout the year instead of having to wait until you know you have a $25 order. They come and go quickly!
Amazon Mom is another great benefit of Amazon if you have little ones in diapers. With Amazon Mom and the subscribe & save features, you can save an additional 30% off of diapers and wipes delivered free to your door. You can cancel your subscribe & save subscription any time. Recently, there have been 20% off codes in some parenting magazines that offer you an even greater discount. YES! You can use these all together. Here’s how my most recent order looked. I’ll cancel my subscribe & save subscription as soon as I get it so I am not charged monthly.

If you’re purchasing groceries, diapers, health & beauty type items, be sure to check the coupons page before you order to see if there is an additional discount on your product. You’ll notice that I saved an additional $1.50 on the diapers above. Here is the coupons page. The 1st promotion above is the 30% off for using Amazon Mom & Subscribe & Save. The 2nd is the 20% off diapers at Amazon coupon that was in a parenting magazine.
Notice the “Total paid by gift card.” I actually got these diapers free from using Swagbucks & MyPoints. I’ll explain those in a future article.
